Sentinelle North, SP 2.8: a team of electrical engineering and optics/photonics experts are working to develop a new wearable technology based on on fiber optics sensors and of miniature physiological sensors with weak energy consumption to remotely evaluate:
- motor control / motor capacity (angular motion and speed, interjoint coordination, muscle activity)
- mobility (activity level, social participation), and
- essential metabolic variables (level of light exposure, heart rate, skin conductance as a parameter for physiological stress),
to evaluation and guide treatment for individuals with chronic illness and physical or mental disabilities (linked to work or not) or to prevent the development of such health conditions.
